I completed my Triathlon Saturday! I didn't have to stop and walk either - I sprinted it out at the end and I'm not totally broken!

It was amazing. I had to push myself to take yesterday off because I wanted to get back into the gym so badly. I swam a half mile this morning and will work on running tomorrow. Next weigh in is Thursday.

I'm pumped!

Oh, and I came in last in my age group (women 30-39) but I did not finish last overall. I did better than a couple 20 year olds and the only teenager in the bunch.

I wore my silly finishing medal all day Saturday and my mom started questioning whether I finished a triathlon or competed in the special olympics - Thanks for the support mom!!

Lol @ Kate's Mom.

This week I lost all my weight I gained at my mom's. so i was +3 now I am back to zero.

The goal is -15.
This week I start the super diet and cleanse.

no more coffee no more dairy save for yogurt. no sugar, no grains save for brown rice and quinoa. No alcohol.

8:00AM Pre Breakfast: supplements. glass of water.
8:30AM green tea. (2 cups in giant coffee mug)

9:30AM Breakfast : Svelte fatfree yogurt. 1 cup. 1/4 cup raw walnuts. More Green tea in novelty sized coffee mug.

11:00AM 16 ounces of water and Iodine supplement. Multi vitamin.

12:30 1 cup raw carrots, one cup raw snap peas. Green tea.

1:30PM 2 eggs scrambled. fennel seed black pepper. My treat for the day cinnamon tea with stevia in it.
(I do not have blood pressure or cholesterol issues at all, so I can have eggs and black pepper.)

2:00PM Workout. 20 minutes on the mini-trampoline 15 minutes of weights.
80 lunges, 30 bench press, 85 bicep curls, 40 deadbug abs, 60 lunge-twist-knee kick-thingys. 75 roundhouse punches. bit of cardio mixed with weight, constantly moving from one exercise to the next with no break until finished cycle.

5:30PM Dinner. 3 chicken breasts fried in tiny bit of lemon olive oil. One head romaine lettuce, one red sweet tooth pepper, 1/4 yellow onion, cup of cherry tomatoes. More lemon olive oil, crushed clove of garlic and honey balsamic vinegar sprinkled overtop. Split for family of 4. 16 ounces of water.

8:30PM More supplements. Omega 3-6-9 more water

10:00 Supplements- enzymes. Water.

rinse repeat.
Should hopefully lose half a pound a day.

Still the same, shit weather, dentists, and late working have taken my running days away recently. Today I will run 2.8 miles. Wed I will (read: should) start swimming.

Congrats on the triathlon.

I am restarting myself back in week 2 in c25k. My lower legs weren't getting much better and I lost a week due to the work schedule. I may have to back way down due to my crappy shins, I was hoping they'd toughen up more by now.

Shin splints suck big time, I've been dealing with them for the better part of 16 years. About 4 months ago, I finally reached a point at which I could run without icing down. Three weeks ago, I started doing speedwork with a bunch of other people at a local HS track. Guess what's back? I ran an easy 8 on Saturday and another easy 6 today and man, they're absolutely screaming right now.

Hang in there, it gets better....then it gets worse.

Just got back from a great workout. My routine is basically 3 days of whole body circuit training followed by some interval training on an elliptical. On my non-lifting days I run for 30 minutes and either do rounds kickboxing, or 20 minutes on the elliptical. I'm fat, but my clothes are fitting better and my cardio is slowly getting back into a comfortable zone. The runs are easier, the rounds are easier, and I'm slowly working my way up on the elliptical resistance.

All this in time for a two week stall pattern while I head down to Mexico....

After I hit the Arnold Classic this weekend, my motivation will probably come back in force. I spent about 4 months not being able to train in 2010 due to injuries and that really fucked with my head.

My short term goal is two cycles through Pavel Tsatsouline's Enter The Kettlebell program, once with a 16kg, then once with a 20kg. Each cycle is 12 weeks, so figure about 6 months. After I get some conditioning back, I'd really like to start Krav Maga classes as well, shooting for two per week.

My long term goal (figure about a year or so) is to compete, so I'm going to work with a 24kg toward my goal of participating in my first kettlebell sport event. After that, I want to participate in the Tactical Strength Challenge. At some point, I also want to do the Warrior Dash.

I don't really give a shit about my appearance or any of that. With the training I'll be doing, that'll just happen.

I lost 4.6 pounds this week for a total of 9.6 pounds since I started.

Weight loss should slow down now as I did complete a triathlon on Saturday. I'm excited. I'm making sure I save enough points for tasty things like Gyros and chocolate but also keeping healthy stuff as my staple.

Big challenge coming up this weekend.

I'm going to a wedding - so food and smoking will be tempting. I've been smoke free for over two months now so this is my first big worry about that.

I am going to a 2 hour yoga workshop on Saturday. I believe this will likely kill me, since the one hour classes leave me sore for days.

Most diets I've seen involved eating far more in a day than I could ever possibly consume.

I'm finally back in to my running routine. I've been to the gym twice this week, and I'll be going again tomorrow, which meets my goal. I'm also starting physical therapy next week to try and regain some range of motion in my lower back.

I'm not on any particular kind of diet though. I'm eating healthier things, less of them, and not drinking. Shit, my lack of caloric intake from booze alone should've netted me a 10lb loss. Frustrating.

Granted, I haven't been running 10 miles a day or anything...
