Ebassist MLB/Baseball Thread

Cubs single game tickets went on sale at 10am this morning. Bought two sets of tickets to catch my Rangers when they come into town in the third week of the season.

Anybody else ready for baseball to come back into their lives?

Is there a MLB team in the Northwest?

So Braun gets suspended for the rest of the season...

Quote:
In a roundabout sort of way, Braun performed a public service with his grievance. Baseball and the Players Association got together and tightened up some loopholes in the testing program to make sure they don't recur. While fans remain eternally skeptical, the tide has turned in big-league clubhouses and the overwhelming majority of players are anxious to move on to a new, PED-free era.

http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/95...-permanent-hit
I never believed his story which caused the last suspension to be overturned. I find it very promising that "the tide is turning in big league clubhouses." I would like this game to be as PED-free as possible.

Braun is an idiot. I hope the Brewers get rid of him. I'm looking forward to more suspensions.

My son played with this guy on his high school team.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/astros-...0156--mlb.html

"The 23-year-old Cosart took a no-hitter into the seventh inning, and the Houston Astros beat AL Cy Young Award winner David Price 2-1 on Friday night to end the Tampa Bay Rays' season-best, eight-game winning streak."

Best start by a rookie pitcher in something like 41 years. He got recalled and is now in the Astro's rotation starting tonight.

Yep. Who is going to trade for him? It is clear that there were a lot of whispers in the locker room. It's like trading for a younger ARod. I can't see any team doing that. The Brewers are stuck paying this clown after then suspension is over.

Rays!
I already said it so that's how it is going to be until you understand that the Boys of Summer like playing in air conditioned stadiums while the fans enjoy some Bloomin' Onion with their Clearwater Light while watching Boston lose to the Rays.

The winner of tonight's game will be in first place.

Cosart did great again last night. Turns out he played on my older twin's adult softball team as well and my oldest son just tiled his family's home.....we've been touched by greatness!

Hanley Ramirez is even hotter - does that mean he's in orbit?

Ah. So Ramirez was the catalyst to the Dodgers righting the ship.

I dearly miss your "Roffles!", KK. Ramirez is really hot right now. The whole team has turned the corner it seems. They were headed for a disastrous season until Puig showed up. Mattingly sure looks good right now. It helps when a team faces the Cubs, too.
