Tentative. 740 miles here to Berwyn,IL. 11 hours, but I could stop and buy gear in Nashvegas, like that hellborg 215! Might also have a work thing. Will keep posted.

As someone who's done that drive for something like this, I advise against it unless you plan on staying a few days. Not saying don't come out, just saying the drive is difficult... Especially the way home.

Just talked it over w mrs moogs. Might bring whole fam including the baby boy. Would fly. Also a chance I might route from a work trip in Dallas.

Driving does offer gear hauling and showing off, but yes long ass road trips after age 40 can be tough on short turnaround. Starting to get excited!

Is this a "bring all the gear we can" GTG? or more of a "drink all the beer we can" GTG?

Well I haven't removed either of my basses from their cases in... three years? but I did drink four beers this weekend. I'm pretty sure what my contribution will be.

We're definitely going to play some music, so if you want to bring some gear, that's cool, but if you're not into hauling your rig places, I have mine set up and ready, as well as a guitar rig.

Kate, if you want to bring some drums, that would be rad. Even if it's just kick/snare/hat/ride or whatever.

If I come, I'll pack up the PF500, LDS 212/6.5, and my 2 Schecters. I can also bring a guitar amp/guitar if desired, but would prefer to not bring everything.

Can't play my bass at the moment since I broke my damn finger. Not that I'm going to be able to make the transatlantic flight. And if I did I wouldn't be risking bringing a bass with me!

I'm good at road tripping. I can't count the number of times I've driven to Cali or Vegas.

Hell, every day trip to Walsenburg is 4 hours round trip.

But now, I'm old. And I would rather spend that 20+ hours in travel time hanging out with people and doing stuff rather than driving.

Plus when C7 and I went to Chicago all those years ago, we left Friday morning, got there Saturday morning at about 3, partied Saturday afternoon/night, woke up hungover as shit early Sunday morning, and drove back to Denver to get home in time to work on Monday. It ended up being about 32 hours of driving for 12 hours of party.

Yeah, it was fun, but I wouldn't do it again for just a quick hitter like that.

Still can't believe we didn't get searched in Cozad.

That's a good spot. It's a straight shot east on Cermak to my place.

You'll want to Uber from there, taxi service in that area is spotty at best.
