Yup.
I'm still not too big on the Skjold's headstock, but the rest of the bass is drop dead gorgeous.

It runs great @ 2 ohms and has an excellent DI which you know. I've rolled a couple tubes through it (don't remember which) and ended up sticking with the stock Ruby. I found the Ruby to be more "punchy" then the tubes I rolled. Those are in my Bassman (JJ i think) and were higher gain and smoother, less punchy sounding. With your Schro I don't think you'll have any problems with punch so using a higher gain (early breakup) tube could be really cool.

Thanks man , no it's already on it's way . I really liked that amp though , fantastic really . Thing is I really wanted a Neo- all along and I have plenty of time if for any reason I must have a MB again then perhaps . I don't see the need at the moment to keep both and you've already road tested the Neo so for me that's a plus . I've read everything I need to know about the 2 vs. etcetc so I think it will work out as expected . Plus I have 2 original NOS Mullard CV 4004 12ax7's I need to do something with For my needs the GB will take care of it and as we all know the Best Customer service available , and as OCD as I get about this stuff , you can't put a price on that ! One more plus is I can get another mini 10

Good to know , most of the time the Ruby is a rebranded Shuguang and I have 10 of those which I like very much for a bass pre , this will get a lot of use in my home studio so a nice tube DI is a big plus . So far the single 10 has done the job it's at 4ohms with the MB it was 500 watts and I never needed to max the amp , do you know what the Neo's wattage is at 4ohms ?

Not to mention killer DI, post or pre EQ so you can always take advantage of a PA.

Sorry to derail everyone

Thanks man , That's what I thought but couldn't narrow it down , 350 should be enough and the + side is it can run more cabs if needed .

  • Little Mark II
  • Thunderfunk 420
Cabs
  • Schroeder 1210
  • 2 GS112s
Pedals
  • TU2, LMB-3 and a Digitech Bass Synth Wah.
