Wow. 54 is just too young. He was one of my favorites during the 80's and the rise of the WWF. Condolences to his family. He leaves behind a wife and 2 kids.

The Ultimate Warrior was a nutcase and a terrible wrestler, but that's way too young. Unfortunately it's all too common in the world of wrasslin'.

But not the one you're thinking of!

That guy went by Cheo Feliciano, and was the lead singer for the Fania All- Stars.

It's possible that's who you were thinking.......but not likely! The other Jose Feliciano is alive and well!

I know he was at least quite well known as an actor, it's just that I can't think of anything that he was in aside from Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

Phoebe Snow dead at 60!

You wouldn't know from that "Poetry MAn" song, but she really was phenomenal!
My parents dragged me to see her in concert, and since I hated that song, I whined and complained the whole time, until she did a killer blues, and a medley of all the commercial jingles she had sung (Most well known is probably Folgers).

RIP Sir Jack Brabham

Won the F1 Driver's Championship in 1966 in a car he designed and built himself. Somehow I don't see that happening again any time soon...

Young Brabham's place in the heart of Formula One fans was assured as long ago as 1959. The venue was Sebring in the United States, and the new kid on the starting block was on the verge of clinching his first world championship.

After 41 laps and 500 yards from the finishing line, Brabham ran out of fuel.

He summoned his considerable upper body strength to push his Cooper-Climax over the line and became the only man to take a Formula One world title on foot.
Somehow I don't see that happening again any time soon, either.
