More Work Travel, the Denver Edition

Coming in evening-ish October 2nd, headed back out afternoon/evening of the 4th. Staying downtown (I guess) - near 17th and Broadway/Lincoln.

Beers and/or???

Jugghaid? Zachoff? Anybody else that's nearish?

I have a buddy coming in town that weekend, but he's headed back home on Sunday evening. I'll be taking him to the airport I'd guess around 5PM and can meet somewhere after that... Maybe 5:30 or 6?

The neighborhood to the South of you is pretty fun and a quick cab ride away... Ellsworth & Broadway area. Neighborhood is called Baker and there are a couple good venues if you wanted to check out some music. 3 Kings Tavern and the Hi Dive. True Brewing is also along that stretch. Renegade Brewing is also pretty awesome and fairly close, but not walking distance. 9th & Santa Fe.

I'll PM you my phone # and we'll figure something out.

Ugh, dude, I'd totally be in but I've got a shit ton of in-laws and other family in town for my daughter's birthday.

Shit pickles. After you, Zach, and Juggs get together, make sure to tell me how absolutely awesome it was and how much fun you had. I don't hate my in-laws enough as it is.

ok, trip confirmed. unfortunately, due to the slow-assed paperwork system around here, i'll be driving from KC instead of flying (the flight was under $200 when I made the request, it's now $600. so it's cheaper to rent me a car and pay me to drive).

I'm staying at the Hilton Garden Inn near 14th and Welton. Not sure what time i'll get into town, but I'm down for beers Sunday afternoon/evening, or Monday evening, or Tuesday evening, and will be driving home on Wednesday.

Hitting the Rockies game on Sunday, but am free after that. I'm guessing the game will be over by 4:00. If Sunday won't work then we can shoot for Monday. I have band practice on Tuesday nights.

there's a few of the folks from my work going to the game too. I, however, am not one of them.

Juggs, what say you to Sunday evening beers somewhere? I'll have a car and a GPS, so mobility isn't an issue. We can meet at someone's place, or a bar, or whatevs...

Sunday, the bars will be hopping as the Broncos play that afternoon. Game should be over by about 5 or 6. It's an away game to it will be somewhat sane.

Or we can do monday. Up to you.

You want to drive to my house and pick me up? I'm only about 35 minutes from downtown.

I'll already be down there on Sunday, but I can make it on Monday too.

Tons of great breweries near/around downtown and even more bars. Personal faves are Falling Rock and 1UP, but there are lots of other good ones if Jugg has suggestions.

thinking about it, Monday might work better for me? not sure what time I'm going to get out of KC on sunday (it's my wife's birthday), so I might want to just hit the hotel and crash out...

but if sunday is the only day that works, we can do that too.

There are so many good places with good beer downtown we could just throw a rock and hit one.

I'm fine with wherever.

sunday is my wife's birthday, so I'm going to stick around KC for a while in the morning. I don't expect to get to Denver before like 8 or so.

let's do Monday evening?
